  Derek Knowles brings over thirty years of experience in luxury hospitality design, creating some of the world’s most celebrated destination resorts. His exterior design portfolio includes the Montage Big Sky and the Phase II expansion of the Yellowstone Club. While at Hart Howerton, HKS, and Hill-Glazier Architects, he also led the technical production and construction management for the Rosewood Sand Hill, the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, and the Four Seasons Resort and Residences at Vail, among many others.

Derek has stepped away from traditional corporate practice to launch his own firm that seeks to expand the boundaries of architectural design. He is focused on leveraging computer technology to invent innovative forms, inspired by nature, that bring true Vitruvian Delight to the spaces we inhabit.

Inquiries are welcomed from those who have a strong interest in the art of architecture and are looking for an adventurous collaboration in creating unique and memorable places, whether a backyard playground or a 200-key resort.

In his free time, Derek is an avid backpacker, photographer, and Jeep enthusiast.
