Derek Knowles has spent the last thirty years working as an architect for several leading firms designing hospitality and luxury condominium projects, where he was valued for his strong technical skills and unique artistic vision. He is currently taking a pause to explore ideas that loosely fall within the realm of organic architecture, a way of thinking about design that has long held his interest. For those unfamiliar with organic architecture, some description is given here.

Derek is a Cal Poly grad, proud father of two, backpacker, amateur nature photographer, music aficionado, donut connoisseur, and Jeep enthusiast.
